Job Summary The Group Business Director will spearhead AutoTrader.cas efforts and transformation of our media business by driving the strategy with OEMs and Agencies that will allow National Advertisers to take advantage of AutoTraders new product suites. They will advocate increasing awareness of AutoTrader.ca, our automotive consumer insight, and our expertise, establishing a strong media strategy. The successful candidate will work with OEMs and Agency partners to position the value of our various media/advertising products and ensure AutoTrader.ca becomes a trusted partner across multiple facets of their marketing function. Key Areas of Responsibility - Strategic Relationships (25%) Build and maintain strategic relationships at senior marketing levels (VP & C-Suite) within major auto OEMs & Agencies. - Understand nationwide marketing objectives across all major vehicle ranges and programs to help inform the wider business of revenue opportunities and product enhancements. - Media planning and Content Marketing (25%) Leverage TRADER expertise in creating highly engaging, vertical content and a unique understanding of the auto-intender to commercialize white-labeled editorial opportunities. - Employ consultative selling techniques to educate and inform clients of the broader benefits of their media initiative and content provision to their audiences in both the sales cycle and ownership phase to create brand loyalty and increased lifetime value. - Analytics & Insights (25%) Using TRADER marketplace data, create a SaaS-based revenue stream which engages OEMs directly. - Through consultative selling, seek to understand OEM needs in terms of market insight, sales insight, and the digitization of customer records. - Construct intelligent cases on how TRADERs understanding of supply and demand and their interactions can support multiple functions within the OEM and help realize their ambitions in a unique way. - Account Strategy & Planning (25%) Work closely with the Senior Director Sales and other sales/marketing professionals to establish a strong national accounts strategy, sales pipeline, and stream of business. - Build relationships and partnerships to achieve targets and the organizations strategic imperatives. Demonstrate an extremely strong understanding of online media sales. - Maintain and grow assigned revenue responsibilities, along with other monthly and quarterly KPIs. Job Requirements - Bachelors Degree or higher in a relatable field. - 8+ years experience with a best-in-class organization in high-performance sales or marketing in industries such as Automotive, Data/Analytics or Advertising. - Deep understanding of the media landscape including data, insight and content marketing. - Experience with Canadian OEMs and a successful track record of building robust partnerships through networking and consultative solution selling. - Experience leading complex contract negotiations and long sales cycles. - Proven track record at selling enterprise-level products. - Expert level knowledge of digital marketing familiar with industry trends and advances. - Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and negotiation skills. - Strong interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate and engage cross-functional teams to deliver project requirements. - High resilience, comfortable adjusting approach in the face of resistance or conflict. - Entrepreneurial orientation.
