Bridging data science and molecular biology, this team member brings deep expertise in algorithm design, genomic analysis, and systems modeling. With a background in both computational methods and experimental design, you will help ensure that our models dont just process informationthey make it meaningful. Computational Biologist Scion is seeking a computational biologist with deep technical fluency and scientific curiosity to join our interdisciplinary team. You'll work across projects that blend biology, data science, and systems designhelping turn raw data into real insight for clients solving complex scientific problems. This role sits at the intersection of research and application. From early-stage biotech teams to large-scale institutional clients, you'll help build the infrastructure that transforms biological information into intelligent, scalable systems. You'll collaborate with consultants, designers, and engineers to shape how science gets builtand used. What you'll be doing As a computational biologist at Scion, you'll lead and support data-driven research projects that demand high analytical rigour and biological relevance. You might be modeling protein interactions, cleaning and interpreting genomic data, or helping a client design a scalable bioinformatics pipeline from scratch. 'Were not just interpreting data. Were helping teams build the systems that can act on itintelligently, ethically, and at speed.' You'll also play a strategic role in shaping how clients approach infrastructureadvising on which tools, models, or workflows will actually help them move from analysis to action. Who we're looking for You're fluent in the language of data and science. You can work independently, communicate clearly across disciplines, and know when to explore and when to deliver. You bring technical expertise, but also the mindset to connect it to a bigger picture: scientific progress that actually works in the real world. You've likely worked in research environments beforeacademic, startup, or industryand know how to adapt when the pace, data types, or people change.
