The OpportunitySussex Strategy Group is seeking a confident, professional, and highly organized Receptionist to serve as the face of the company and ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of our Toronto office.The successful candidate in this role will be a self-managed, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, anticipates needs, and takes ownership of administrative operations. This is a fully onsite role, Monday through Friday, requiring consistent in-office presence as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff.In addition to traditional reception duties, this role will support travel coordination, purchasing, basic IT coordination and banking tasks, and event planning. The ideal candidate is polished, organized, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Ways You Can Contribute Greet and welcome all visitors, clients, and staff professionally and warmly.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and common area environment.Handle incoming/outgoing mail, courier packages, and deliveries.Serve as the go-to person for day-to-day office needs and general inquiries.Manage office supplies inventory and purchasing.Coordinate office maintenance requests and liaise with building management as needed.Ensure meeting rooms are prepared: AV equipment readiness, setup, and tidy-up.Book travel for staff, including flights, hotels, and transportation.Act as the first point of contact for basic IT support needs.Coordinate with external IT providers for tech purchasing, troubleshooting, and hardware setup.Assist with small banking tasks such as preparing deposits, picking up company cheques, or making in-branch transactions.Maintain accurate records for receipts and general office expenses.Support planning and execution of internal and external events (team events, client meetings, company gatherings).Assist with catering orders, room setups, logistics, and vendor coordination.Who You Are 5+ years of experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, office coordinator, or similar role.Proven experience supporting senior-level staff or handling higher-responsibility admin tasks.Exceptional organizational skills with a strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time independently.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a polished, professional presence.Experience with travel booking, event support, procurement, or vendor management is a strong asset.Ability to exercise discretion, handle confidential information, and make sound decisions.Pay Grade: $50,000 - $60,000About UsSussex offers exceptional advisory services and empowers businesses, corporations, associations, and non-profit organizations to navigate complex public, government, and regulatory landscapes.
