Term: Three [3] years and may be reelected at the discretion of the Executive Committee. As with other Board members, the Treasurer of the Board shares the duties and responsibilities of all Board members. Specific to this position are the following responsibilities: Works closely with the Executive Director to manage the finances of the Organization, including the Boards directions related to financial responsibilities, and oversees financial reporting for the AGM; - Ensures appropriate financial reports are made available to the Board; - Regularly reports to the Board on key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health; - After consultation with the Executive Director, provides the annual budget to the Board for members approval; - Ensures development and Board review of financial procedures and systems; - Recommends to the Board if an audit is required and will assist in the selection of an auditor if needed; and - May work with a Finance Committee. #J-18808-Ljbffr
