Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Junior Software Engineer to join our team for an exciting long-term contract with one of our esteemed clients, based in Canada(Remote) . Junior Software Engineer Canada Remote Contract Experience & Technologies: Minimum 5+ years experience with deep expertise in TypeScript , Node.js , React , and Next.js . AWS & Cloud Infrastructure: Mandatory hands-on experience with core AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, etc.) and using CDK/SAM for infrastructure-as-code. Development Practices: Strong grasp of design patterns, refactoring, unit testing best practices, and proficiency with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and CI/CD tools ( GitLab CI , GitHub Actions ). Testing & Operations: Required experience with testing frameworks ( Cypress , Jest , wdio ) and participation in an on-call rotation covering 8 am EST - 5 pm PST. Bonus Skills: Nice-to-have experience includes LambdaTest , New Relic , Docker/Kubernetes , event-driven architecture , and exposure to financial services/mortgage tech .
