Were looking for a Technical Writer who can transform complex software features into clear, userfriendly content that empowers our clients and team. In this role, youll develop stepbystep guides, FAQs, UI copy, video tutorials, and systemgenerated communications. Youll work closely with clients, developers, and designers to ensure all content aligns with user needs and product goals. This is an inperson role based out of our Sherwood Park, AB office. In this role, you will be expected to: - Develop stepbystep user guides, FAQs, and instructional documents to help users effectively utilize our software - Write and edit copy for user interfaces (UI) to ensure clarity, consistency, and userfriendliness - Create and update software systemgenerated email notifications to ensure clarity and consistency with our brand voice - Produce tutorial videos and visual guides that simplify complex concepts for users - Collaborate directly with clients and end users to gather feedback and translate their needs into clear, intuitive product design and documentation - Generate and deliver inperson or online presentations or webinars on software modules and features to clients, users, and team members - Collaborate with graphic designers, software developers, and other team members to ensure documentation aligns with product goals and user needs - Maintain and update a knowledge base of documentation and FAQs as our software evolves - Apply UX writing principles to create usercentered, easytounderstand content - Follow and contribute to our software style guide You might be the right fit if you: - Have a strong ability to quickly learn complex software systems - Pay meticulous attention to detail - Possess exceptional writing and editing skills - Can break down complex concepts into clear and concise explanations - Inspire trust through openness, honesty, and transparency in communications - Work well both independently and as part of a team Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in English or Communication Studies (with a major in Professional Communications) - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe products - Experience with AI tools and technologies, or a strong passion for learning and working with AI Bonus points if you have: - UI/UX design experience is a strong asset $60,000 - $65,000 a year Why join us At BIS, we pride ourselves in being very entrepreneurial in nature.
