Job Description Maintenance Reliability Specialist (Rotating Equipment & Vibration) Overview We are hiring a Maintenance Reliability Specialist focused on rotating equipment and vibration analysis. This role provides advanced technical support to maintenance teams, optimizes preventive strategies, and leads conditionbased monitoring programs to improve asset health, uptime, and safety performance. Key Accountabilities - Provide advanced troubleshooting support for rotating equipment failures and deliver clear corrective recommendations. - Act as the primary liaison between maintenance execution and the reliability team; participate in daily business unit meetings. - Optimize preventive maintenance strategies using RCA and RCM, balancing timebased tasks with predictive and condition monitoring. - Champion and manage CBM programs, including vibration analysis (CSI 2140), lube oil analysis, thermography, ultrasound, and process variable trending via PI Data Historian and Excel. - Monitor equipment performance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, bad actors) to assess reliability and recommend improvements. - Collaborate with engineering, operations, planning, and maintenance to present innovative solutions that enhance reliability, availability, and integrity. - Provide technical support to plant shops during repair and overhaul of critical rotating assets. Qualifications - Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma and/or Millwright Journeyperson (Red Seal). - 5+ years of mechanical discipline experience, ideally in oil sands, refining, or petrochemical facilities. - Certified Mechanical Vibration Analyst (CMVA) Level II minimum; Level III considered an asset. - Experience with Machine Health Management (MHM) software and Bently Nevada System One; familiarity with PI ProcessBook is an asset. - Strong diagnostic, problemsolving, and communication skills. - Safetydriven, detailoriented, and collaborative across multidiscipline teams. Schedule & Term - Rotation: 4 days on / 3 days off. - Camp accommodations provided. - Flights available from Calgary or Edmonton. - Term: 1year contract.
