The Shared Services Team supports and enables the EssilorLuxottica collective to achieve its targets, keeping people and projects running smoothly. General Function The Senior Financial Analyst develops departmental budgets and variance analyses, prepares forecasts and profitability analyses, compiles and analyses financial ratios by brand, geography and channel, prepares and analyzes monthly financial data, and assists in overall controlling activities. Major Duties and Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, document and improve upon complex financial models for forecasting and budgeting purposes with an emphasis on laborplanning and marketing expenses. - Identify opportunities to automate, streamline and improve reporting and budgeting procedures, and implement those opportunities. - Support monthend closing process and controlling procedures by preparing journal entries and accruals for the Shared Services accounting team. - Coordinate information gathering with Finance and Accounting for financial reports, analyses and presentations to aid decisionmaking. - Perform ongoing analysis of budgetary status and impact of supplemental needs and requests, prepare periodic and adhoc analyses of Budget/Forecast versus Actual for revenue and expenses, and maintain supporting documentation. - Analyze special projects to determine financial impact on the business. - Work cooperatively with other disciplines and accept direction from supervisors. - Prepare management reports for Corporate and senior Luxottica management. - Run reports and query data using the companys financial package to collect information for financial planning. Basic Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting - 3+ years work experience preferably in commercial analysis - PC proficiency, especially with Excel - Demonstrated experience and proficiency in financial analysis discipline - Solid tactical management skills - Business acumen - Organizational savvy - Effective communication skills - Demonstrated ability to build the business through improved analysis, trending and reporting - Sound business judgment and strong attention to detail - Teambuilder with ability to work collaboratively with other individuals and disciplines - Innovative style with a rollupthesleeves attitude Preferred Qualifications - MBA - CPA - 5+ years work experience preferably in commercial analysis - Knowledge of SAP and/or Essbase - Experience in labor planning - Experience in a multinational company This posting is for an existing vacancy within our business.
