Investigative Assistant - 2 positions available The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) is the province''s medical regulator. We''re looking for a motivated team member with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail to join our Investigations team. In this role, you''ll play an important part in supporting our Investigators, helping ensure complaints are managed efficiently and in line with legislative requirements, making a real difference for patients and physicians across Ontario. What You''ll Be Doing Get to know each new case by reviewing files and learning about physicians'' backgrounds. Communicate with all parties involved by drafting and sending letters and emails throughout the investigation process. Help gather consents, medical records, and other important information, working closely with investigators. Review and polish investigation reports to ensure clarity and accuracy. Prepare physician histories to support committee discussions and decisions. Be a point of contact, responding to phone inquiries from complainants, physicians, committee members, legal counsel, and witnesses. Organize investigation files for a smooth handover to our legal team. Arrange meetings and appointments to keep our investigators connected and informed. Support the team with everyday clerical tasks like sorting mail, preparing courier slips, photocopying, and filing. What You''ll Bring Post-secondary degree, preferably in health sciences, arts or related field with two (2) years'' related experience Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken Very well-organized, with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume and tight deadlines Knowledge of complaints process and investigative principles preferred Demonstrated expertise and advanced knowledge of Office 365 Knowledge of medical/legal terminology, health care systems and French language skills are assets Equity/diversity/inclusion training would be an asset How to Apply Qualified candidates please submit a cover letter and resume by December 31, 2025.
