Quality Engineering Lead Our client, a Big Five Bank is seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Lead with strong QA expertise to join on a 6-month contract. The Quality Engineering Lead will play a critical role in strengthening our clients testing capabilities and ensuring robust quality assurance across complex wire workflows. This position will collaborate closely with project QA teams and development teams to design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies that minimize production defects and enhance overall product reliability. Define and implement end-to-end test strategies for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. Develop and maintain automated test suites for APIs and backend services. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery. Establish best practices for defect prevention and risk-based testing. Drive root cause analysis for production defects and implement corrective measures. Mentor QA team members and foster a culture of quality engineering. Conduct performance, load, and resilience testing for critical applications. Manage test environments and ensure proper test data setup for complex workflows. Strong background in test automation and quality engineering. Experience in financial services or payment systems (wire processes preferred). Proficiency in automation tools. Solid understanding of SQL and database validation. Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, or TypeScript. Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline). Knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, VPC, S3) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (AWS CDK/Terraform).
