Electro-Mechanical Engineer IntroductionOur client, a leading manufacturer of commercial food service equipment, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team. This intermediate-level role involves supporting the design, development, testing, verification, and improvement of mechanical and electromechanical products. Working under the guidance of a Staff Engineer, the successful candidate will contribute to new product development, product enhancements, and production support activities. This position is fully onsite at the clients Concord, Vaughan facility.ResponsibilitiesSupport new product designs, product improvements, test analysis, and production/service collaboration.Assist with the design, development, testing, and verification of mechanical and electromechanical systems.Prepare concept sketches, detailed drawings, 3D models, and specification documents.Conduct root-cause analysis, performance testing, feasibility studies, and cost evaluations.Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), component requirements, and assembly instructions for commercial equipment.Prepare progress reports, design documentation, and project-related technical materials.Assist with the creation of manuals, sales literature, and technical documents for assigned projects.Support timely, cost-effective execution of engineering tasks in alignment with product development schedules and objectives.RequirementsBachelors Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.57 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering roles.Understanding of fundamental engineering principles, concepts, and practices.Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings and design documentation.Experience working in an office or lab environment; ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.Additional InformationBenefits include:Medical, dental, and vision coveragePension programEmployee Assistance ProgramTraining and professional developmentEmployee engagement events
