New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting firm, is seeking a highly structured, fast-thinking Product Owner to support a next-generation AI platform initiative. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-velocity environments, brings clarity to complex systems, and can convert high-level product direction into clean, sprint-ready requirements. The Product Owner will work closely with executive leadership, engineering, and design teams to maintain a clear, actionable backlog, support bi-weekly sprint delivery, and ensure features move from concept to production with precision and quality. The Product Owner is responsible for transforming strategic product vision into actionable development work. You will maintain the product backlog, prepare stories for sprint execution, and bridge communication between founders, engineering, and UX teams. A strong ability to parse complexity, document multi-agent interactions, and maintain momentum is essential. Responsibilities: Maintain a structured, prioritized product backlog aligned to the roadmap. Break down complex workflows into clear epics, stories, and tasks. Define precise acceptance criteria to eliminate ambiguity for engineering. Maintain and update the Requirements Traceability Matrix. Conduct weekly backlog grooming with the technical lead. Ensure every story meets the teams definition of ready. Provide timely clarification and unblock developers throughout the sprint. Support delivery cadence within a multi-stage, bi-weekly sprint model. Translate product vision into actionable development tasks. Work with engineering leadership to validate complexity, sequencing, and dependencies. Partner with UX to align user flows, system interactions, and decomposition of tasks. Guard against scope creep and protect sprint commitments. Review completed features against acceptance criteria. Provide structured feedback to ensure the intended user experience is met. Track release readiness and ensure no features ship incomplete. Participate in sprint reviews and demos. Understand and document interactions across AI-driven components, including: Project setup and conversational intake agents Skill analysis and capability assessment components AI-driven coaching and behavioral guidance modules Recommendation and product-selection systems Voice interaction and asynchronous communication flows Identify edge cases and ensure consistent behavior across user scenarios Requirements: 5+ years as a Product Owner or hybrid PO/PM in complex software environments. Strong experience writing high-clarity user stories with tight acceptance criteria. Proven ability to manage ambiguity and impose structure without slowing velocity. Experience with AI/ML products, workflow engines, or modular architectures is a strong plus. Familiarity with Linear, Notion, or similar modern PM tools. Ability to collaborate with founders and engineers who iterate at high speed. Comfortable pushing back, asking the right questions, and making decisions.
