Job Description

I have partnered with an organization who are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Intermediate Interior Designer to join their collaborative design team. This is a full-time salaried position with the option of hybrid work (4 days in office to start). The ideal candidate will bring seasoned experience in developing projects from concept through to completion, with strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to contribute to a team's to success.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand project and client goals, ensuring design integrity is maintained throughout developmentDevelop projects from schematic design through to construction documentationParticipate in and guide conceptual development, space planning, programming, design development, and materials researchPrepare presentation packages, technical drawings, details, specifications, and FF&E documentsCommunicate and coordinate effectively with consultants and team membersQualificationsDegree from an accredited university program in Architecture or Interior DesignMinimum of 5+ years post-graduate experienceStrong conceptual and critical thinking abilityExcellent design skills with the ability to communicate ideas visually and verballySolid understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, detailing, construction methods, materials, and industry standardsStrong knowledge of materials and detailingExcellent time management skills for both individual and team tasksAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCapacity to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong visual and graphic presentation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsRegistration as an Intern Architect or Interior Designer preferredNCIDQ certification is considered an assetProficiency in Revit is required. Working experience in SketchUp, Autodesk software, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign), and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Revu Bluebeam is an asset The salary for this position is negotiable based upon experience, and the compensation package includes extended health and dental benefits, 3 weeks paid vacation and additional personal days.
