The Structural Associate role involves significant fieldwork, allowing you to learn and apply your skills in real-world settings. You will collaborate with a talented team of uniquely skilled individuals, working together to safely deliver outstanding service to our clientssome of the most recognized names in the industry. Duties and Key Responsibilities Travel to different sites to carry out fieldwork. Climb and inspect towers of various heights and types with confidence and competence. Perform ground work on a variety of inspections for Varcon clients, including completing groundwork tables, photo lists, etc., under the supervision of a lead inspector. Lead field inspections for Varcon clients, ensuring all inspections meet client and regulatory standards. Write detailed inspection reports for a diverse range of clients and inspection types. Double-check the accuracy of work performed in the field to identify any inconsistencies. Complete inspection field notes and daily uploads. Provide daily field updates to the Project Engineer. Ensure proper safety protocols are being followed by everyone on site. Qualifications Civil or Structural Engineering Degree is preferred Willingness to spend 70-80% of time in the field, including trips lasting up to 2 weeks at a time. Physical ability to conduct fieldwork, including climbing and working in various outdoor conditions. Working at Heights Certification Schedule 8-hour shift, up to 10 hours in the field. Heavy field exposure initially to gain an in-depth understanding of the work that will help advance your career at Varcon.
