The role is responsible for preparing and maintaining corporate records, managing licensing requirements, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and coordinating with internal teams and external regulators in both English and French.This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting the legal teams operational and compliance needs.Position Functions:Accurately draft, review and edit legal documents and correspondence.Managing a high volume of automotive Dealer Agreements autonomously in both English and French, ensuring timely uploading to Docusign and diligently tracking and maintenance of fully executed agreements.Acting as the point of contact with regulators for specific licensing issues, initiating inquiries via phone or email to obtain clarifications.Reporting regulatory responses directly to the Managing Counsel and/or the relevant business unit for follow-up or decision-making.Preparing and reviewing licensing application forms to ensure accuracy and completeness and coordinating execution of licensing documents internally and externally, as needed, and submitting finalized applications to regulators for processing.Ensuring timely maintenance and renewal of all corporate licenses and records in response to Sym-Techs recent business growth, including those for Amynta Groups Canadian entities.Monitoring and managing compliance requirements to maintain legal standing across jurisdictions.Maintaining all Sym-Techs Trademark registrations including working with the Trademark counsel and updating the Trademark Registrations chart. Proactively following up with relevant individuals and teams to resolve outstanding issues, particularly related to product launches.Ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery of assigned tasks, even under tight deadlines.Contributes to the significant expansion of Sym-Tech legal repository, which now includes a wide range of templates such as NDAs, Releases, Services Agreements, Notarial Certificates, Resolutions, Articles, By-laws, and tailored legal correspondence.Leverage the subscription of Lexis Nexis, a legal research platform, to access and incorporate relevant corporate precedents as needed.Responsible for maintaining and organizing legal contracts and related documentation. Serving as the primary point of contact for teams across both Sym-Tech and Amynta business units when access to specific agreements and legal documents are needed. Responsible for maintaining the organization and storage of all finalized legal contracts, ensuring each document is accurately filed in the appropriate folders within the legal drive. Overseeing the end-to-end process for legal invoice management, from initial receipt and approval to submission to the Finance team for timely payment. Support the training and mentoring of legal and administrative assistant(s) to promote consistency, efficiency, and best practices across the team.Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:Certified Law Clerk.Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in corporate law (law firm or in-house).Experience in automotive, F&I or insurance industry.Bilingual in French and English.Strong knowledge of licensing requirements, compliance and regulations.Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (oral and written).Highly organized, analytical, with a hands-on work style.Strong attention to detail and desire to provide a high degree of accuracy in work product.Sound business judgment, including the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.Motivated and resourceful, with the ability to take initiative, work independently and in a team setting.Enthusiastic, proactive, can-do attitude; with the ability to multi-task in response to changing priorities throughout the day.
