As a Top 100 GTA Employer ten years running, HIROC employees are empowered to find solutions and create amazing experiences in service to its Subscribers.Join us and be part of the team working to make a difference.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounting Responsibilities:Assist with month end and year end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliationsAssists with the budget process to develop projections for various lines of the businessSupport the preparation of financial reports and statements as required by the senior managementSupport accounts receivable function during peak periods or as coverage requiredAssist in preparation monthly/quarterly indirect tax returns and remittancesSupport the preparation of corporate income tax return working papers and schedulesAssist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and commentaryAssist with preparation of reinsurance requests and related accounting activitiesAd-hoc projects as assignedSystems Management Responsibilities:Serve as a support contact for finance users experiencing issues with the primary ERP system and other financial systemsCollaborate with IT team to support and troubleshoot system issues and ensure smooth data flow team financial systemsDocument system configurations and create user training guidesAssist in defining user requirements for new financial reporting tools or system customizationsAssist in the routine maintenance of financial system master dataOther duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESSolid understanding of basic accounting principles advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong knowledge of ExcelEDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in accounting finance or a related fieldExperience in accounting or finance role an assetWORKING CONDITIONS:Working at a computer for much of the dayHybrid working modelSALARY RANGE: $56,500.00 - $70,000.00TO APPLY: Please submit your rsum to [email protected] order to be considered for this position, please include a current rsum or detailed qualifications summary with your application.
