About the Role Maple Mutual is looking for an experienced insurance leader to join our team as Claims & Loss Control Manager, guiding strategic risk-management initiatives and ensuring exceptional service for our policyholders. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end claims operations, lead proactive loss prevention programs, and implement strategies aimed at reducing claim frequency and severity. Key Responsibilities - Provide leadership in daily operations of the claims and loss control teams, including intake, inspection, evaluation, settlement, inspections - Analyze loss trends and collaborate with underwriting, finance, Agents and Brokers to support informed decision making - Drive loss prevention and risk-control programs, focusing on managing exposures, preventing losses, and enhancing the policy holder experience - Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies - Manage complex files and provide guidance to adjusters, examiners, and third-party partners - Monitor claims performance metrics, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency - Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement Qualifications - Post-secondary education, Insurance or Business-related preferred - Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation; FCIP and/or CRM designation an asset - 10+ years P&C claims experience, including leadership responsibilities; Experience in risk control or loss prevention an asset - Strong knowledge of property, auto, and liability lines, claims legislation and litigation processes - Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills Why Maple: Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including pension Opportunities for professional development Collaborative team environment Meaningful work that improves outcomes for our policy holders and the Maple community To Apply: Interested?
