The Motor Vehicles & Registries Administration branch under the Consumer, Registry and Strategic Services division provides a broad range of support and expertise to Registry Agents in Alberta on all registry topics. The Motor Vehicles unit is an integral role in the effective and efficient administration of the motor vehicles program in Alberta, providing expertise, information and consultation related to motor vehicles legislation, business policies and procedures to registry agents and various stakeholders. As Team Lead in the Data Access & Contract Management Unit (DACMU), you will guide a high-performing team and support critical program operations that shape the future of motor vehicle information services across the province. Responsibilities - Lead a team of 810 staff by setting priorities, assigning tasks, managing performance, and fostering a fair, safe, and supportive work environment. - Oversee the administration of AMVIR agreements, system access requests, precourt/court certificates, confirmation letters, and other motorvehiclerelated services. - Guide the development of ARs, TARs, briefing notes, executive summaries, policy documents, procedures, and training materials. - Coordinate daytoday program operations, ensuring consistent interpretation and application of legislation, policy, and procedures. - Monitor trends, service delivery gaps, and emerging issues to inform program improvements and operational planning. - Collaborate with stakeholdersincluding OIPC, legal partners, other jurisdictions, and internal branchesto support compliance, transparency, and service quality. - Analyze operational data, present trends, and offer evidencebased recommendations to management. - Manage HR and budgetary resources to meet operational targets and branch priorities. Ideal Candidate Profile - Ability to manage a high volume of work with a small margin of error. - Capacity to work in a fastpaced environment and change direction with little or no notice. - Team building and leadership, including effective participation skills. - Proven analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking abilities. - Experience managing and developing a team while dealing with highly confidential information. - Indepth knowledge of motor vehicle programs, AMVIR processes, and relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. - Exceptional verbal, written, listening and interpersonal skills. Qualifications University degree in Business/Management or Public Administration and a minimum of 4years of progressively responsible experience. Preference will be given to candidates with registries administration experience or governing that industry. Equivalencies may be considered: - Diploma and a minimum of 6years of related experience - Certificate and a minimum of 7years of related experience - Minimum of 8years of related experience Required: - Experience leading, mentoring, and supervising various support roles. - Experience working with MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel). - Include a detailed cover letter explaining how your experience aligns with the qualifications; applications submitted without one will not be accepted.
