Job description: Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pizza Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious pizzas that meet our high standards of quality and taste, while also contributing to a positive experience for our customers. Responsibilities Prepare and cook pizzas according to recipes and customer specifications. Prepare toppings, sauces, and other ingredients. Operate ovens, dough mixers, and other kitchen equipment safely. Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. Greet customers and take orders in person and over the phone. Operate POS (point-of-sale) system accurately to process payments (cash, card, and online orders). Provide friendly and efficient customer service. Package takeout and delivery orders correctly and promptly. Keep kitchen and front counter clean, organized, and stocked. Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and dispose of trash regularly. Follow closing and opening procedures as assigned. Work effectively with team members during busy periods. Communicate clearly with kitchen and delivery staff. Skills Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation are preferable for occasional deliveries. Valid Food Handler Certification (or willing to obtain before starting). Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals.
