Please note there is flexibility with the scheduling, but the default hours would be Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Established residential property management firm is seeking a full-time Labourer/Handy Man. Our staff is friendly and welcoming. We are looking for someone who wants to have a future with the company and who wants to be appreciated and rewarded for hard work. The position involves conducting mostly minor repairs, painting, minor plumbing, carpentry, etc. at the various properties we manage for our clients. Description: The primary duty of the job is to conduct various repairs at different properties we manage, as they are brought to our attention by tenants. Our staff manages all the incoming calls/emails, communication with the property owners/tenants, scheduling, invoicing, etc. You will be given a schedule each day of where to go and what to do. While the more skills you have, the better, we are open to discussing the opportunity with those that can confidently and competently perform at least some or most of the following: painting, drywalling, ceiling repair, minor plumbing (changing cartridges, faucets, disconnecting dishwashers, installing washing machines, etc), carpentry (reinforcing or building steps, fences, small decks, etc), installing flooring, testing/replacing smoke detectors, measuring and installing blinds/curtain rods, etc. For more complex jobs, we have access to 3rd party plumbers, electricians, etc. Tools and materials are provided, as is a work vehicle (to be used during office hours only). While working efficiently is certainly important, we aim to give you a reasonable and manageable workload. Great people skills and professionalism are very important. Requirements: - Valid drivers license and good driving record - Excellent customer service, multi-tasking, communication, and time management skills - Positive, punctual, friendly, outgoing, and professional attitude - Repair/Handyman skills as mentioned above Salary/Wage/Benefits: The starting pay range is $23-25/hr.
