Lead Test Engineer Global software consultancy Halifax MPA has been retained by a leading global digital solutions company who work in both the public and private sector. For over 30+ years our client has been providing software solutions to the commercial, healthcare and public sectors. There is a strong possibility you have used our clients software at some point in your life. They are now looking for a Lead Test Engineer to join their team in Halifax. As a Lead Test Engineer, youll be a hands-on technical leader and trusted expert in software testing -shaping test strategy, guiding teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications that truly meet user needs. Youll lead the design and implementation of both manual and automated testing approaches, with a focus on quality, performance, and security. Youll collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders, while also mentoring testers and helping them grow their skills and careers. Whats in it for you? The chance to: Make an impact. You will design, implement, and maintain test approaches - including manual (exploratory) and automated testing across application layers. Inspire and lead Agile teams. You will provide technical leadership in testing, ensure collaboration between testers and developers, and establish efficient defect management processes. Champion best practices. You will leverage test automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, and Protractor, and support continuous integration environments including Jenkins and TeamCity. Mentor and support others. You will coach testers, help develop their skills, and contribute to a supportive team environment where people grow and succeed. Your Expertise Technical expertise. You have proven success leading testing strategies for modern, secure, and scalable applications. Youve used automation tools and built robust test infrastructures in CI environments. Leadership. You have led testing teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and mentored others in best practices. You foster inclusive, collaborative team cultures. Ownership and resilience.
