We manufacture our product in **Fort Macleod, AB**, just 25 minutes west of Lethbridge, AB. We are currently looking to hire the following position in our Forma Steel facility. **Role:** Trim Shop Machine Operator **Job Type:** Full-time **Shift:** 6:00a.m.-2:30p.m Monday-Friday At Forma Steel, our **Core Values** are at the heart of everything we do. To be successful in this role, the ideal Candidate will: - Be Passionate, Positive and Productive - Be Respectful, Helpful and Caring - Be Responsible and Reliable - Be Solution-Focused - Do the Right Thing As a Machine Operator You Will: - Operate various steel manufacturing equipment such as folder, shear, slitter. - Guide steel into the processing areas. - Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner. - Perform start up, cleaning, and shut down procedures on production equipment. - Lift and move products throughout the assembly and production process. - Complete any other work assigned by supervisor/lead hand. - Abide with all Health and safety practices and requirements. Our Machine Operators Have: - Ability to and/or experience operating manufacturing equipment. - Safe work mindset and commitment to safety. - Ability to read and understand production drawings. - Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English. - Team mentality and ability to work well with others. - Physical capability to perform their job safely (push, pull lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time). - Capability of working in a manufacturing environment.
