Job Description Job Description We are currently seeking a Warehouse Person B to join our team of skilled professionals based at our brand-new Brampton Plant. This state-of-the-art manufacturing plant produces premium asphalt roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous manufacturing process environment. Position Overview: Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment. Key Responsibilities: u00b7 Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification u00b7 Must be comfortable working outside in the elements u00b7 Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials u00b7 Identify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the Lot Location system. u00b7 Load/unload trucks u00b7 Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors u00b7 Assist with inventory counts as required u00b7 Guide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely loaded/unloaded Qualifications: u00b7 High school diploma or GED u00b7 Must have valid forklift certification class 1 license u00b7 Must be able to read a pick list u00b7 Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including weekends u00b7 Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical u00b7 2 years forklift experience u00b7 Previous experience with materials handling & distribution warehouses preferred u00b7 Able to work independently as well as part of a team u00b7 Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills u00b7 Strong work ethic and positive team attitude u00b7 This is a full time non-unionized position.
