Were hiring aSenior Ruby on Rails Engineerat DataDocks (remote within Canada).DataDocks is a 12-year-old, profitable, bootstrapped SaaS used by major brands across North America. We help large facilities coordinate and move freight more efficiently, and weve grown quietly and steadily without outside investors.Were a small engineering team (4 people today), and we keep meetings to a minimum. The focus is on building, solving real problems, and giving people the autonomy to do great work without layers of approvals or corporate overhead.Why this role might interest youThis isnt a maintenance job.Youll work directly with me (founder) on meaningful engineering challenges across scheduling, availability logic, rule engines, and multi-location workflows.Some examples of the types of work youd take on:High-volume appointment processing across many facilitiesPerformance and optimization work in Rails and PostgresRedesigning and owning core modules end-to-endArchitecture decisions as we scaleWorkflow automation and external system integrationsWere stable but still growing.
