This firm is at the forefront of decarbonizing buildings across Canada, combining technical expertise with a genuine commitment to environmental impact.If youre passionate about designing the electrical systems that power a greener future, this role is for you.About the role: As an Electrical Engineer, youll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver electrical design and consulting services for a variety of building projects from energy retrofits to new high-performance developments.Youll design and oversee systems that make buildings more efficient, resilient, and sustainable, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and access control systems.Youll report to a Senior Electrical Engineer and play a key role in all project stages from concept and design to construction support and delivery.What you'll do: Design normal and emergency power distribution systemsCreate lighting systems that balance functionality, aesthetics, and energy efficiencyDevelop fire alarm and access control systemsPrepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculationsCollaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders for coordinated designSupport construction administration: review submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform site visitsMaintain organized project documentation in line with internal standardsWhat we're looking for: P.Eng. registered with APEGA or EGBC, or eligible for registrationBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering3+ years of experience in building electrical systems design (distribution, lighting, and fire alarm)Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (or similar design tools)Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skillsA genuine interest in sustainable design and reducing carbon emissions in the built environmentWhy join this company:Competitive salary and benefitsStrong focus on training and mentorship from senior engineersCollaborative, mission-driven environment focused on energy and carbon reductionOpportunity to shape your career and specialize in areas that align with your passion
