This Volunteer Placement is Located in: Tegucigalpa, HondurasStart Date: February 2026Placement Length: 5 monthsLanguage Requirements: Spanish Level 4-Advanced and English Level 3-IntermediatePlease submit a Spanish Resume and Statement of InterestOpen to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada onlyThe Volunteer's Role This placement is designed to empower our partners, reinforcing the sustainability of the Asociacin Hondurea de Energa Renovable (AHER). In doing so, we will passionately advocate against global warming, placing an even greater emphasis on environmental protection and community development.As a volunteer, you will:Perform an assessment to analyze the current status of AHER with the aim of developing an action plan focused on enhancing the organization, particularly in the area of environmental sustainability.Plan and execute local environmental initiatives (addressing global warming, climate change, and sustainable agricultural practices) in collaboration with partner organizations.Facilitate political discussions on environmental policies advocated by AHER.Essential Requirements:University degree in International Development, Environmental Sciences, or Social Justice.Essential Background:At least 2 years of experience in design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluationFamiliarity with the global context of current climate change issuesStrong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in group environments and a capacity for critical analysisWhat's in it for YOU?
