Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel. This role offers a dynamic blend of commercial and transactional responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on contract negotiation and drafting, regulatory compliance, acquisitions, joint ventures, policies, corporate governance, and intellectual property. The ideal candidate will bring a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to legal counsel and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Benefits Health Insurance (includes Virtual Health, and HCSA) Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Long-term Disability Short-term Disability RRSP Match Paid Vacation Floating Days Employee Assistance Program Employee Engagement Events Awards and Recognition Tuition reimbursement (including continuing legal education) Service Awards Employee Perks & Discounts Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements with suppliers, customers, and joint venture partners Manage the full contract lifecycle, including execution, documentation, document management, renewals, and terminations Advise on regulatory compliance matters, including health and safety and environmental regulations Provide legal support for corporate transactions, including due diligence, negotiation, deal documentation, and post-deal integration Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to mitigate legal and regulatory risks Support corporate governance activities, including preparation of board and committee materials, and maintenance of corporate documentation and records Support intellectual property matters, including trademarks, licensing, and patents Support business teams to provide practical, commercial legal advice Manage and coordinate matters with external counsel Qualifications & Experience LLB or JD from an accredited law school Member in good standing with a provincial law society 7+ years of legal experience in an established law firm and/or in-house legal department, with a strong focus on commercial and transactional matters Demonstrated experience in cross-border commercial matters, with a preference for candidates familiar with both Canadian and U.S. commercial matters Prior experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations is an asset Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and provide clear, practical legal advice to business stakeholders Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset #LI-AA1
