Role: Identity and Access Lead (RQ00245) Client: Service New Brunswick (SNB) Location: Remote Canada (Quarterly travel to New Brunswick) Contract: 1 year + 2 optional 1-year renewals About the Role Service New Brunswick (SNB) is leading a major provincial initiative to implement a single, modern Clinical Information Solution (CIS) across New Brunswick. To support this transformation, we are seeking two (2) experienced IAM Leads who can guide IAM readiness across health authorities, CIS vendor teams, cybersecurity, and clinical operations. This role is ideal for professionals with deep IAM leadership experience in healthcare environments (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, CIS/EHR systems) who understand how identity, authentication, and access models impact clinical workflows and patient care. You will play a key role in shaping IAM strategy, governance, and integration for one of Canada''s most significant digital health modernization programs. Responsibilities As the IAM Lead, you will: Assess and document current-state IAM processes, identity sources, workflows, and authentication models Identify gaps, risks, dependencies impacting CIS adoption Develop IAM roadmaps, remediation plans, and readiness strategies Collaborate closely with SNB Enterprise IAM teams, CIS vendors, Horizon & Vitalit Support the design of CIS role structures, access frameworks, RBAC models Validate IAM integrations (directory services, HR systems, authentication, provisioning) Facilitate cross-functional alignment with technical teams, clinical leaders, cybersecurity, and operations Prepare partner teams for new IAM workflows, onboarding processes, and access controls Provide ongoing leadership in issue resolution, risk tracking, and project reporting Contribute to key deliverables such as IAM policies, role catalogues, support models, and training materials Mandatory Qualifications (Must meet ALL) Candidates must demonstrate: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Health Informatics, or equivalent 5+ years leading IAM initiatives (strategy, assessments, planning, governance) 3+ years IAM experience in hospital/clinical environments Experience working with CIS/EHR workflows (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar) 5+ years collaborating with enterprise IAM/IGA teams (identity lifecycle, authentication, directories, governance) Proven workstream leadership experience: timelines, deliverables, risks, reporting Understanding of IAM impact on clinical workflows, patient care, adoption, safety Strong communication and stakeholder facilitation skills Preferred Qualifications CIS/EHR IAM experience (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) Experience with IAM technologies (Entra ID, Okta, Ping, IGA/PAM platforms) Healthcare privacy & cybersecurity understanding Experience designing IAM governance (RBAC, access reviews, role catalogs) Bilingual (English/French)
