Job Description Reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting, Advisory & Consolidations, the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Consolidations leads a team of two and is responsible for overseeing the consolidation of global financial results and the creation of internal financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial controls and the accuracy and timeliness of reporting. This role manages the consolidation process, works closely with external reporting, coordinates with site finance teams and FP&A, and serves as the business owner of our consolidated chart of accounts and OneStream system. The Senior Manager collaborates with the Finance Transformation team to implement improvements and best practices in consolidation and reporting. Job Responsibilities - Lead the consolidation of financial statements for the organization (including 70+ legal entities active in over 10 countries), ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. - Manage two reports on the consolidation team and oversee monthend and quarterend timelines. - Oversee the preparation of consolidated balance sheets, statement of operations, statement of cash flows, and other schedules to support the creation of the Companys external financial statements and MD&A. - Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends and variances, and review financial results for accuracy. - Collaborate with site finance teams, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Corporate finance to gather and validate financial data; act as an advisor globally to internal requests and provide recommendations. - Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures related to financial reporting and consolidation. - Assist in the coordination of external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit inquiries; maintain SOX control documentation. - Own the Companys consolidated chart of accounts and consolidation tool, providing guidance to site and corporate finance teams to maximize functionality and ensure optimal use. - Act as an ambassador for continuous improvement within financial reporting and consolidation, proposing and executing new work approaches, methods, policies and controls to optimize performance and maintain regulatory compliance. - Identify and implement process improvements such as automation, close cycle reduction and report standardization, and work closely with the Finance Transformation team for all consolidation tool improvement projects. - Lead and mentor a team of two direct reports. Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required. - Minimum of 710 years of experience in financial reporting and consolidation or related roles. - Advanced knowledge of accounting standards, specifically IFRS. - Previous experience in the mining industry is an asset. - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software and tools. - Experience with JD Edwards and OneStream is an asset. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams. - Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, driving performance and achieving goals. - Office-based (hybrid minimum 3 days per week in office); occasional travel to other business units as required. - Fulltime position with standard working hours; additional hours may be required during peak reporting periods.
