We are looking for a Data Analyst for a 10 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 2 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto. Core Responsibilities Identifying Critical Data Elements (CDEs): Determine, document, and maintain key data elements essential to business processes, regulatory reporting, and analytics. Data Dictionary Management: Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-wide data dictionaries to support consistent data definitions and usage across the organization. Business Data Quality Rules: Define, validate, and implement business data quality rules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of key data assets. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyze, query, and validate large datasets. Proficiency in Power BI , including building dashboards, reports, and data models. Data Governance experience , specifically in: Identifying and documenting CDEs Maintaining data dictionaries Establishing and implementing data quality rules Exceptional communication skills both verbal and writtenwith the ability to present findings clearly and professionally. Strong facilitation and presentation abilities , capable of leading discussions with business and technical stakeholders. Bachelors degree minimum, preferably in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines. Professional, polished, and detail-oriented demeanor. Nice-to-Have Experience Financial services industry exposure Banking sector experience Knowledge of Compliance functions, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
