Position Title: Engineering Business Manager Location: Remote - Must sit within Ontario or Manitoba Travel Expectation: 30-50% (3 trips per year to the US) Compensation: $125,000-$150,000 CAD/Year Up to 65% Bonus Day-to-Day Responsibilities One of Insight Global''s clients within the geosynthetics industry is seeking an Engineering Business Manager to lead business development efforts across Ontario and Manitoba. This role combines technical expertise with strategic growth initiatives for geotextiles, erosion control, and roadway products. You will serve as the primary liaison to engineers, regulatory agencies, distributors, contractors, and transportation industry stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: Market Leadership : Drive business development, marketing, sales, and profitability in the region. Strategic Planning : Develop and execute business plans to expand market presence in Canada. Relationship Building : Represent the company as the go-to expert for geosynthetics within the engineering community. Client Engagement : Conduct presentations, host client meetings, and deliver technical lunch-and-learn sessions. Travel : Up to 50% within Canada (primarily Ontario) for conferences, seminars, customer visits, and industry events. All travel expenses reimbursed. Additional Details Maintain and grow existing business while identifying new opportunities. Create targeted engineering business plans to prioritize promotional efforts. Participate in weekly presentations, engineering meetings, and networking dinners. Must Haves: Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering, 5-10 years of experience within engineering pertaining to design, specification''s, bidding, technical reports, etc. Experience/Exposure within sales, marketing, or business development within an engineering capacity (or eagerness to dive into this) Ability for 30-50% travel Plusses: PE License Consulting Sales experience in related industry Experience with hydraulics, water, stormwater, drainage, etc. CPESC, CPSWQ, or any other engineering certifications
