Middleware Administrator IBM MQ & Messaging Systems (Intermediate) Hybrid Montreal, QC About the Role We are seeking a Middleware Administrator to support enterprise messaging platforms across North and South America. You will manage IBM MQ/RabbitMQ environments, support application teams, and contribute to middleware design, installation, troubleshooting, and enhancements. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and support IBM MQ and/or RabbitMQ Provide L2/L3 support for developers and application teams Troubleshoot middleware issues and recommend long-term fixes Document configurations and recurring issues Participate or lead middleware upgrade/automation projects Collaborate with IT and business teams to design scalable solutions Evaluate new tools/technologies to strengthen platform capabilities Required Skills 25 years of hands-on IBM MQ experience (design, install, upgrades, migration) Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills Middleware installation, configuration, and upgrade experience Nice to Have Python scripting Microservices knowledge Experience with Puppet/Chef Cloud exposure (AWS preferred) Familiarity with JIRA, Jenkins, Docker, Elasticsearch Profile & Competencies Excellent communication skills (English) Client-focused with strong problem-solving abilities Able to work independently and collaborate across teams Detail-oriented and committed to timely delivery Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
