Senior Data Analyst (AWS & QuickSight) Contractor Completely Remote Key Responsibilities Translate business needs into structured requirements for QuickSight dashboards Identify source tables, fields, and relationships across Aurora, DynamoDB, and Athena Write, optimize, and validate SQL queries for data extraction and transformation Perform thorough data validation and QA across multiple data sources Collaborate with product, engineering, and AI platform teams to define KPIs and metrics Develop and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and technical specifications Provide clear status updates and work effectively with minimal supervision Analyze data trends, patterns, and anomalies to support continuous improvement Support AWS self-service analytics users (access, troubleshooting, user management) Qualifications & Experience 5 years of hands-on data analytics experience Expert-level SQL; strong experience with Aurora, DynamoDB, Athena Proven experience designing or supporting Amazon QuickSight dashboards Strong understanding of data validation, QA, troubleshooting Experience with complex data models (joins, foreign keys, parent-child structures) Ability to translate business goals into precise technical data requirements Excellent communication and documentation skills Experience in AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, or digital analytics preferred Comfortable working across time zones and managing tight deadlines
