This role is remote within Canada Job Description: Responsible for designing and maintaining the operating environment that powers the Firms z-platform computing infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, and scalability to meet evolving business needs. Skills Required: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience Hands-on expertise in z/OS internals Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with catalog management Proven troubleshooting skills, especially in high-pressure production outage scenarios Proficiency in USS/OMVS Experience with z/OS and ISV software installations Advanced testing capabilities (designing tests for functionality, robustness, and performance) Solid understanding of HCD and hardware configuration Programming experience in REXX Availability for weekend support and on-call rotation Familiarity with modern z/OS technologies such as zOSMF, REST APIs, Kafka, Ansible, Python (preferred) Assembler skills for usermod maintenance and dump analysis (desirable but not mandatory) Key Attributes: Self-motivated and collaborative team player Strong analytical and investigative mindset with creative problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
