Reinhart is also an industrial ingredient leader to North Americas leading multi-national manufacturers. **Position Summary** The Production Supervisor oversees daily production activities across vinegar packaging and baked goods lines, while providing multi-shift support including afternoons, nights, and weekends. This role requires strong leadership, consistent floor presence, and effective coordination across departments to ensure efficient production, food safety and regulatory compliance, high-quality standards, and achievement of operational targets. **Key Responsibilities** **Leadership & Team Management** - Provide strong, visible leadership to production team members and Lead Hands across all shifts. - Promote a safe, professional, and accountable work environment. - Conduct regular communication, production, and safety meetings, encouraging feedback and continuous improvement. - Address performance, attendance, safety, and behavioral issues; deliver corrective actions in partnership with HR. - Develop, motivate, and coach direct reports, supporting growth and performance management. - Support onboarding and orientation of new employees and lead training initiatives as required. **Production Operations** - Facilitate and execute daily/weekly production schedules to meet efficiency, cost, quality, and service targets. - Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to identify improvement opportunities and support Lead Hands. - Work closely with the Production Coordinator to align manpower, staffing, and workflow. - Provide cross-shift troubleshooting and operational support for afternoon, night, and weekend teams. - Ensure seamless workflow continuity through effective task delegation and active engagement with production staff. - Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Planning, and Sanitation teams to resolve issues and align operational objectives. - Maintain thorough knowledge of all factory systems and equipment. **Food Safety, Quality & Compliance** - Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, hygiene practices, Work Instructions (WINs), SOPs, and food safety requirements. - Conduct routine audits of lines to verify adherence to specifications, quality control measures, and regulatory standards. - Ensure facility sanitation, housekeeping, and environmental compliance meet company and regulatory expectations. - Enforce OSHA and occupational health and safety standards, promoting a zero-injury culture. - Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. **Inventory, ERP & Documentation Management** - Monitor and investigate raw material and finished goods inventory through ERP systems to ensure accuracy. - Complete, review, and close Work Orders (WOs) in the ERP system; resolve discrepancies with Planning and the Production Manager. - Train staff on proper ERP, documentation, and Work Order practices. - Review and maintain accurate production records, logs, batch documents, and traceability information for audit readiness. - Analyze labor efficiencies, overtime usage, vacation scheduling, and staffing allocations to meet production demand. **Communication & Reporting** - Communicate operational results, issues, staffing updates, and improvement opportunities to management and cross-functional teams. - Participate actively in continuous improvement projects, operational reviews, and efficiency audits. - Support a culture of collaboration across Production, Quality, HR, Planning, and other support departments. **Required Qualifications** - 35+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred). - Bachelors degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required. - Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food hygiene, sanitation practices, and regulatory compliance. - Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies. - Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and time and attendance systems. - Strong analytical abilities and data-driven problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills across all organizational levels. - Thorough understanding of production processes, safety requirements, and sanitation standards. **Other Requirements** - Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities. - Must be an active, collaborative, and motivated team player. - Flexibility to support multiple shifts as required.
