Lets shape the future together. / Location This position is a hybrid role that requires you to travel different campus locations in Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Start Date January 2026 The Opportunity The Director of Financial Aid (DFA) will create and provide the leadership, strategic direction, and management for the financial aid and compliance functional areas and will develop, monitor, evaluate, and recommend improvements to processes, procedures, workflow, and/or standards. The DFA is primarily responsible for the overall operation of the student financial aid program. The DFA is responsible for operationalizing and directing all short, intermediate, and longrange planning for the financial aid program. The DFA coordinates the implementation of financial aid regulations, policies and procedures, and administers the student financial aid program including federal and provincial funds. What you'll be doing: - Recruit, interview, hire, and train direct reports to ensure they have the capability to deliver on their responsibilities. - Determine work priorities, train, delegate tasks, and evaluate work efforts. - Manage the annual private career college renewal process. - Oversee the Designated Learning Institution submissions. - Supervise the annual KPI submission process for Ontario and communicate results to internal teams. - Responsible for managing a riskbased quality control program that provides continuous monitoring of the Colleges financial aid performance to ensure fulfilment of regulatory compliance procedures. - Work closely with the Admissions team to ensure efficient admissions and financial aid processes. - Act as the final escalation point for student issues. - Maintain a high level of professional competence in best practices in financial aid, program assessment, operational budgeting, and a working knowledge of the college software system (XCAS). - Develop, implement, and revise policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all Federal and Provincial laws and regulations. Responsible for the development and implementation of College policies as they relate to financial and institutional aid. - Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with the Career Colleges Ontario (CCO) Financial Aid Office. - Develop relationships with provincial and federal student loan departments within each province. - Ensure compliance to meet the requirements of the Ontario Private Career Colleges Act, the Private Career Colleges Act of Nova Scotia, and the New Brunswick Private Occupational Training Act. - Ensure compliance to meet the regulations governing the processing of Canada, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia federal and provincial student loans. What you bring to the position: - Postsecondary degree in Finance, Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or relevant field. - Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in all aspects of college student financial aid administration with at least three (3) years in a supervisory position. - Experience working with accounting, budgeting, and financial statements. - Knowledge of government regulatory climate of education and financial aid. - Thorough followthrough and problemsolving skills, and excellence with both math and logic. - A reliable vehicle and valid provincial drivers license. - Must be able to travel to triOS campuses throughout Ontario and Eastern College campuses in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
