Pay Details63,600CAD 94,300CAD Work LocationCalgary, Alberta, Canada Hours35 hours per week Line Of BusinessTD Insurance Job Description Role Overview The CAT Senior Advisor plays a pivotal role within the Catastrophe (CAT) Team, specializing in the management of complex claims and championing operational excellence. The position builds a resilient, agile, and datadriven CAT team that delivers highquality customer service, empowers growth, reduces escalations, and strengthens national response capabilities. Key Responsibilities Manage complex auto and residential claims, including VIP, U.S., prelitigation, employee, condominium, rental property, Additional Living Expenses (ALE), and rural claims. Ensure timely and quality resolution of files, focusing on reducing claim cost and severity. Apply standardized processes for risk event frameworks and support compliance initiatives. Handle customer, manager, and highrisk executive escalations. Proactively mitigate escalations through expert intervention and communication. Provide oneonone mentorship and coaching to new hires and peers. Facilitate training sessions and knowledge transfer. Serve as backup for managers and support vacation coverage. Operational Excellence Monitor and analyze claim handling processes to identify trends and recommend targeted improvements. Support business initiatives, drive efficiencies, and prioritize feedback to leadership. Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate CAT response and share best practices. Allocate resources effectively to balance workload and improve cycle times. Customer & Business Impact Promote consistent service delivery and elevate customer satisfaction. Reduce severity and escalations, improve communication, and streamline claims processes. Maximize employee talent, morale, and work experience. Key Attributes Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills. Confidence in managing multiple complex files and strong technical understanding of CAT claims. Proven ability to lead through change and actively support the professional growth of colleagues. Passion for teamwork, collaboration, and delivering results under pressure. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Qualifications Experience in property, residential and/or catastrophe claims handling. Proven leadership or coaching experience in a claims environment. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Ability to work flexible hours during CAT events.
