We are currently seeking a qualified Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. Location: Halifax, NSJob Type: Full-time Working Arrangement: Hybrid ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Hardware Design Engineer will work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team developing new and innovative electronics solutions to meet customer needs, working in a number of specialist areas including low noise preamps, high speed digital telemetry, Digital Signal Processing, and RF design.Design, implement, maintain configuration management and test maintainable hardware and firmware systems in accordance with the company’s procedure and project specific requirementsPreparing or reviewing typical design documentation (design requirements, schematics, board layouts, technical specifications, and data sheets)Preparing or review engineering deliverables for existing and new electrical system design modifications/upgrades/replacementsPreparing cost estimates or cooperating appropriately with others responsible for reporting the estimate.Apply independent diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practicesAct as a technical interface with customersProvide coaching and guidance to and check work of junior engineers, technologists or techniciansParticipate in and chair technical reviewsOther tasks as assignedRequired Skills:Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Electronic EngineeringStrong Electronic product development experienceExperienced in analog and digital design, embedded microcontroller design (ARM-based microcontrollers or DSP-based systems)Experience with PCB schematic design toolsExperience with peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART, etc.Experience with DSP applications
