About the Role The Associate Director, Managed Devices, leads the strategic design, engineering, and lifecycle management of the universitys managed device ecosystem. The role is responsible for establishing institutional standards, driving adoption, and ensuring seamless integration of hardware and enterprise tools. The Associate Director collaborates with distributed IT teams and oversees operational support through a dedicated team, ensuring consistent, secure, and high-quality service delivery. The role also develops key performance indicators (KPIs) and champions continuous improvement to enhance the enduser experience and support institutional goals. Qualifications - Strong knowledge of device management platforms (e.g., Intune, Jamf, SCCM), security practices, and compliance standards. - Strong understanding of enterprise IT ecosystems, including asset management, ITSM systems, AV integration, and enterprise tools. - Awareness of privacy, data security, and compliance requirements (e.g., FIPPA, ISO/IEC standards) relevant to higher education IT operations. - Familiarity with emerging technology trends in device management, automation, and user experience design. - Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing highperforming teams. - Experience in operational budget management. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills. - Ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and lead change in a dynamic institutional setting. - Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and foster inclusive and accessible IT services.
