About the role: As an Electrical Engineer, youll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver electrical design and consulting services for a variety of building projects from energy retrofits to new high-performance developments. Youll design and oversee systems that make buildings more efficient, resilient, and sustainable, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and access control systems. Youll report to a Senior Electrical Engineer and play a key role in all project stages from concept and design to construction support and delivery. What you''ll do: Design normal and emergency power distribution systems Create lighting systems that balance functionality, aesthetics, and energy efficiency Develop fire alarm and access control systems Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders for coordinated design Support construction administration: review submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform site visits Maintain organized project documentation in line with internal standards What we''re looking for: P.Eng. registered with APEGA or EGBC, or eligible for registration Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering 3 years of experience in building electrical systems design (distribution, lighting, and fire alarm) Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (or similar design tools) Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills A genuine interest in sustainable design and reducing carbon emissions in the built environment Why join this company: Competitive salary and benefits Strong focus on training and mentorship from senior engineers Collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on energy and carbon reduction Opportunity to shape your career and specialize in areas that align with your passion
