Technical Writer Operational Risk Policy (Contract) Line of Business: Operational Risk Policy Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension and/or conversion) Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite, flexible to align with team) Location: Downtown Toronto Hours: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:00 PM EST Key Responsibilities Support the remediation and modernization of Operational Risk Policy documentation. Review and leverage existing policy materials, identifying gaps and areas for enhancement. Map current documentation to updated enterprise and regulatory policy standards. Rewrite and create policy documents from scratch where required. Uplift framework and policy documentation to align with evolving business and regulatory expectations. Review, revise, and refine documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Collaborate with risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to validate content and ensure alignment. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in financial services or banking environments. 3-5 years of experience writing policy documentation and end-user materials. Strong understanding of Operational Risk Management principles and frameworks. Proven experience with policy remediation and policy uplift initiatives. Ability to critically review, edit, and improve complex documentation. Experience working within a Top 5 banking environment . Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Education Post-secondary education required.
