CRIMS Application Consultant Contract: 6 months (with potential to extend) Location: Toronto (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week) What Youll Be Doing Business & Stakeholder Engagement Act as a trusted bridge between investment teams and technology. Gather, translate, and validate requirements from trading, portfolio management, operations, and compliance. Advise stakeholders on CRIMS capabilities, configuration options, and best practices. Clearly communicate changes, enhancements, and system impacts to the business. CRIMS Configuration & Integration Configure CRIMS modules, workflows, rules, and parameters based on business needs. Build and support APIs and integrations around CRIMS (no core CRIMS code development). Support batch processes, job scheduling, and operational workflows. Troubleshoot complex application issues across data, middleware, and application layers. Incident & Production Support Serve as a key point of contact for CRIMS-related incidents. Perform root cause analysis and drive issues through to resolution. Document configurations, fixes, and operational procedures to strengthen platform stability. Team Collaboration Work within a CRIMS Center of Excellence alongside experienced consultants and specialists. Operate in a truly collaborative environmentno silos, shared ownership, and knowledge exchange. Contribute to continuous improvement of the CRIMS platform and team practices. What Were Looking For Must-Have Experience Hands-on experience with Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) (Years matter less than depthstrong hands-on exposure, even within 612 months, is valued.) Strong working knowledge of: SQL Batch scripting Job scheduling tools Experience working as a Consultant or Application Specialist in Financial Services, ideally Investment Management. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and manage incidents end-to-end. Comfortable engaging directly with business stakeholders and translating needs into system configuration. Nice to Have Understanding of investment management workflows (trading, compliance, portfolio management). Experience with APIs, middleware, or integration platforms.
