Job Description

Job Summary This position is accountable to and draws authority from the Site Superintendent (90%) and from the Project Manager (10%) regarding issues on quality, progress, safety, schedule, and other matters related to the below responsibilities. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Site Superintendent with overall site management and execution of day-to-day site activities Oversee and manage the general labour force and trade specific tasks Promote a safe work environment and ensuring all employees and trades work in a safe manner, following Stonerises Safety program and relevant safety legislation and regulation Liaising and maintaining positive relationships with trade partners and suppliers Monitoring work to ensure it meets Stonerises standards and all building and safety code regulations. Ensuring that required inspections with the building department, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction and scheduled and coordinated to maintain project deliverables Completing required Quality Control/Quality Assurance Inspections, assigning deficiencies to trade contractors, and managing deficiency close out Assisting in monitoring the project progress and schedules Completing regular progress reports, checklists, logbooks, and other required reports Key Qualifications/Requirements Construction-related diploma or degree, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on-site as part of large-scale developments Experience in High Rise Construction is a must Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings Minimum two to three (2-3) years in the construction industry Experience with relevant Construction Software MS Office Knowledge Working Conditions and Physical Abilities Capable of working in physical positions that may include kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting, bending over, etc.
