Job description: Our client, a well-known multinational manufacturer in the aerospace industry, is looking for an experienced Inventory Planner-Manager for their location on the south shore (Longueuil) of Montreal. ***Please note that this is an onsite position and requires to work on location 5 days a week! 1.0 Purpose This document defines the responsibilities and qualifications required for the Manager, Spares Planner position. The role ensures accurate forecasting and planning of spare parts for engine programs, optimizing inventory levels and supporting customer needs through collaboration with cross-functional teams. 2.0 Scope The scope of this position includes managing long-term spare parts forecasts, inventory targets, and planning strategies for engine programs. The role involves influencing policies, improving processes, and leveraging analytics to enhance supply chain performance. 3.0 Responsibilities General Responsibilities: Maintain a 5-year forecast for spare parts related to engine models. Manage inventory levels, safety stock, and ensure inventory targets are met. Lead and participate in meetings for long-term planning and shortage resolution (SIOP, MML, Consensus Governance). Plan campaigns and manage configuration changes. Apply systems-level thinking to connect all facets of the business. Utilize problem-solving skills to process complex information and present it clearly. Leverage and improve adoption of analytics tools (Power BI, advanced analytics, AI, UI/UX). Influence strategies, policies, and procedures. Present to senior and executive leadership. Identify and address process gaps. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (process updates, training material, business mapping). 4.0 Qualifications Bachelors degree with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Masters degree with 5+ years of experience. Fields of study: Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related business disciplines. Strong project management and business acumen. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access). Occasional business travel required. Strong English skills for documentation and communication in an international context. 5.0 Work Environment This is a full-time, on-site position based in Longueuil, QC, with flexible hours from Monday to Friday. 6.0 Safety All employees have a duty to care for their safety and for the safety of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
