We also work with grocery retailers, mass merchandisers, drug channel, and food service customers across the country to create and produce a wide variety of private label branded products.Overview: The Accounts Receivable Analyst Trade Spend is responsible for managing the timely resolution of Trade Spend Deductions issues to minimize the companys financial risks and bad debt exposure. This role will offer the opportunity to collaborate with Trade Spend Analyst, and Sales Analysts to develop and implement process improvements, with the objective of driving efficiencies and building a best-in-class accounts receivable function.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Manage Trade Spend Deductions to ensure clearing up on a timely basis.Work with Trade Spend Analyst to ensure deductions are applied to promotion accrual.Research and analyze deductions for balance discrepancies, etc.Manage cash applications and maintain the accounts receivable ledger for assigned customer portfolio. Manage collections for customers to ensure compliance with aging thresholds.Review and manage past due invoices weekly to ensure accounts are up to date and distribute monthly customer statements as requested.Communicate with customers on deduction backups and provide proof of delivery and payment follow-up as required. Work with the billing team to ensure customer master data and account information is up to date, including customer specific requirements.Assist with Billing coverage as required Work with the A/R Supervisor to resolve on-going issues.Assist A/R Supervisor in completing month end reporting requirements on a timely basis. Perform special projects requests assigned, Audits validating, etc. Other duties as assigned. Assist with related special projects, as assigned.Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its customers.Experience, Qualifications, and Educational Requirements:College diploma or University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. 4+ years of experience within a high-volume A/R environment.Consumer packaged goods and/or food & beverage industry experience preferred.Strong analytical skills with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments and key business partners.Pro-active with a customer service and continuous improvement mindset.Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.Self-starter who works well with limited supervision.Superior Excel skills and experience with ERP/ JD Edwards and EDI.French language would be an asset.Accountabilities for Success:Collaborate and partner with others through building appropriate rapport and actively developing positive and productive relationships, as well as challenging constructively to understand different viewpoints while treating people of varying backgrounds and perspectives fairly.Communicate effectively through idea and information sharing by practicing attentiveness and active listening which to ensure individuals have sufficient information to accurately perform their duties.Remain accountable for actions and performance by setting and meeting clear goals and objectives.Solve problems effectively by quickly grasping the essence of underlying structures to support root cause analysis and solution definition in an effective and timely manner.Demonstrate a commitment to Trophys vision and mission.
