Job Description Position Overview: FBC is seeking a detail-oriented part-time Finance Assistant (Accounts Receivable focus) to support our finance team. This remote role will primarily be responsible for ensuring accurate tracking of receivables, maintaining financial records, and supporting overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting or bookkeeping, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work with accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and issue invoices to funders, partners, and vendors in a timely manner. - Track and monitor accounts receivable, ensuring payments are collected and recorded accurately. - Assist with reconciliations of accounts and monthly financial records. - Support the preparation of financial statements and reports. - Maintain up-to-date and organized records of invoices, receipts, and supporting financial documents. - Follow up with stakeholders regarding outstanding payments. - Assist with budget tracking and expense monitoring as needed. - Provide general administrative support to the finance team. Requirements - 1-3 years experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or finance support. - Knowledge of accounting principles and financial record-keeping. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software an asset. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines. - Strong communication and follow-up skills. - Commitment to FBCs mission and values, with an interest in supporting the Black Canadian community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
