POSITION: General Ranch Duties LOCATION: Nanton, Alberta EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, Permanent WAGE RANGE: Commensurate with experience and certifications. HOUSING: Available START DATE: January 2026 POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated individual with the skills required to accomplish the daily tasks required on a 500 head cow/calf operation. This will include, but is not limited to: Animal care and calving Operating and maintaining feeding/harvesting equipment Horsemanship and handling cattle safely Fencing and general repair QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Minimum 2 years of ranch operations experience. General mechanical abilities Skilled with hand tools, fencing, equipment operations, and general repair tasks. Previous experience operating agricultural equipment Valid Class 5 driver's license. Saddles and tack SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS: The ideal candidate will understand the commitment required for this role. Longer hours required seasonally. Role is based outdoors and requires a high level of physical fitness and resilience. WHAT TO EXPECT: This is a generational ranch operating in the foothills of Southern Alberta. We traditionally trail much of our herd to and from summer pasture. Our calves are roped at branding time. We produce approximately half of our winter feed using modern equipment.
