About the JobOur client in the oil and gas industry is seeking a Lean consultant and is looking to urgently fill this role. The consultant would be required to be onsite spending half the time in the Calgary office and the other half on the mine.The client is starting a new wave of 50 projects in early May and needs additional support to coach project leaders and facilitate Kaizen workshops.There is flexible rotation with 2 - 3 weeks onsite in Calgary, 1 week off.Key Responsibilities:Coach and support approximately 15 project leaders through Lean project phases, including initial characterization, root cause analysis, solution development, and sustainability implementation.Facilitate Kaizen workshops and on-site Lean activities.Drive measurable operational improvements through hands-on coaching and guidance.Travel and rotate between Calgary and a remote mining site in northern Alberta.Collaborate with site leadership and operational teams to ensure Lean deployment success.Qualifications:Strong Lean background with a proven track record of delivering tangible results (beyond advisory or reporting roles).Experience coaching project teams and facilitating Kaizen events across all project phases.Preferred industry experience: Oil & Gas; acceptable experience in heavy industry (e.g., mining, construction, engineering).Highly action-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.Comfortable working and traveling in remote, heavy industrial environments.Based in North America or Europe preferred; flexible travel rotation available.Previous experience in isolated industrial settings is a plus.Project DetailsStart: ASAPDuration: 3 monthsTime Commitment: 40 hours a week (rotation between Calgary and mine site; 3 weeks on, 1 week offLocation: Calgary and mine siteCompensation: $100 - $125 per hourProject ID#: 8173This is a contract role and does not offer health benefits.
