About the jobComputational Geosciences (CGI) is a leader in applying advanced geophysical modelling, data analytics, and machine learning (AI) to natural resource discovery and monitoring across the Minerals, Energy, and Water sectors. We are looking for an inquisitive and driven data-focused applied geoscience and data solutions manager to bring our innovative projects to life, speeding up our clients' digital transformation, and improving their sustainability efforts across key areas of our business.The position is a hybrid role with two to three days a week at our Vancouver office located near Granville Island. The job will require occasional travel, both regionally within North America and internationally to the Middle East and South America.Applicants should possess a solid technical foundation in exploration geology with a deep understanding of the application of geophysics to mineral exploration. Both are needed to effectively communicate with clients, enabling them to grasp both the technical and business objectives of a project. Additionally, they should excel in communication, be highly organized, and pay attention to detail.Role ResponsibilitiesGeological InterpretationIn the proposal stage of an engagement, comprehend the client's exploration project goals and establish the criteria for success on a given opportunityWork alongside clients to design and implement exploration initiatives, incorporating CGI's cutting-edge modelling and AI technologies into their processes.Collaborate closely with internal teams specializing in geophysics and machine learning to evaluate and interpret multiparameter geophysical data (such as DCIP, EM, MT, Gravity, and Magnetics) along with advanced 3D inversion model outputsEngage in the evaluation and analysis of survey findings, subsurface models, and geological knowledge as a support to the client's exploration teams.Collaborate on the development of data communication and visualization tools and the creation of internal and external case studies and publicationsDeliver technical presentations at exploration-focused scientific conferences around the world.Client Account ManagementFoster continuous client engagement while ensuring alignment with exploration objectives.Quickly address technical questions while actively organizing both internal and external resources to find solutions.Collaborate across all facets of the CGI organization to enhance customer success and maximize the effectiveness of our distinctive solutions in the realm of natural resource exploration.Recognize upselling and expansion opportunities by collaborating with senior management to promote revenue growth.Record and document insights gained for the ongoing enhancement of CGI's initiatives.Help maintain our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.Key Skills & Required ExperienceMust have:Bachelors or higher degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field.Proven expertise in Geology and 5-10+ years of hands-on experience managing mineral exploration programs.Experience in strategic account or project management in the mining or natural resource exploration sectors.Strong ability to nurture professional relationships and proficient in involving stakeholders at every level with a client organization, including the ability to solve problems while focusing on the needs of the client.Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid, unrestricted passport.Nice to have:Passion for data analytics and digital transformation in the natural resources sectorMultilingual capability in Spanish and/or Arabic is an assetProficiency in geological and/or geophysical modeling softwareExperience with DCIP, ZTEM, VTEM, AEM, MobileMT, or other advanced 3D geophysical inversion and modeling techniques is an asset.Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and developing new business opportunities.Strong strategic reasoning and communication abilities, able to convey intricate data-driven insights effectively.BenefitsSalary range: CAD $150 - $175k depending on skills and experienceShort and Long Term Incentive Schemes (once eligible)CGI promotes a flexible work environment.
