The Opportunity: We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer Coordinator to join our Mining Clients Team in Toronto, Ontario. This is a 12 month contract position with possible extension.This project is currently in early construction phase for site capture with detail engineering design progressing to support construction.The Project Engineer/Coordinator role will be involved with the design phase of the project and will collaborate closely with engineering consultants, as well as the engineering, procurement, and construction teams. The role will be based as remote / work-from-home, with frequent visits to engineering consultants locations for coordination and oversight. Site visits to the project site location in northern Manitoba will also be required on an as-needed basis.Responsibilities: The successful individual will assist in the coordination, tracking, verification, and review of deliverables from engineering consultants to ensure that design packages are prepared on time and accurately to support all on-site infrastructure development.Utilizing Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) techniques to plan and manage the many construction scopes. The Project Engineer/Coordinator will be required to understand AWP principles and be familiar with the protocols deployed to enable accurate engineering progress reporting.Liaise with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, both internal and external, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of documentation and information required for procurement and contract packagesVerify document packages and documentation deliveries are on scheduleCompile and coordinate documentation for Construction Work Packages (CWPs) in alignment with project priorities, construction schedules, and consultant Engineering Work Packages (EWPs)Participate in the development and review of scopes of work (SOWs), procurement packages, deliverables, and other project documentationTrack document versions and updates, ensuring alignment with project schedules and scope changesEnsure that the engineering work is completed and adequately reviewed by relevant stakeholders in line with the project budget and scheduleRequirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and/or 7+ years of EPCM / construction and engineering experienceMinimum 10 years of progressive engineering, project management, and construction experience in the mining industry related to mine infrastructure and processing plantsExceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environmentExcellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively and efficiently communicate with relevant project stakeholdersComputer skills with the ability to use word processing, presentation, scheduling, and spreadsheet applicationsHow to Apply:Interested applicants can forward a resume to [email protected] Please include the job title in the subject line.
